These landscape sculptural panels are part of along term process to find, or create a visual language to express aspects of landscape through clay.
Archaeology is often the starting point for my work.- Using real hand and foot prints intentionally rather than accidentally allows for a whole new set of interpretations to become possible.
The human figure has always been important in my creative work especially on my ceramic panels. I have worked with different approaches to it on clay, whether drawn or more three dimensional.
Drawing is the basis of all my work and expresses an immediate and emotional reaction to to the subject .
Decorative clay chargers, or dishes. I use this form to explore new ideas, shapes, and colours and techniques- sketches.
